The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed about the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area every day.
